about us

New People's Church first worship service was on December 2, 2001 at the pastor's house in Flushing, Queens. We started out organically with a few families and a total of about 15 members. The worship consisted of a Korean-speaking worship service and a separate one-on-one English-speaking Bible study for the one junior high school and one kindergarten student.

From our humble beginnings, God has blessed us abundantly each year.
We are now blessed to share a beautiful church with our friends at Community United Methodist Church in E. Norwich (near Syosset), Long Island. God has also added to our numbers each year and we now have approximately 60 registered members in our congregation. Our English-speaking ministry has established individual programs for Elementary students, Junior High/High School students, and College/Young Adult members.
Additionally, we have been blessed to have Pastor Mac Pier join us this year. To read more about Pastor Mac, click here.

Although much has changed since our first worship, one thing that has remained the same over the years is our sense of community and being a tight-knit family of believers. There is a genuineness, openness, and warmth that stems from the love God has shown to each of us. Our hearts and our doors are always open. We hope to see you soon!
